I thought the overll fish bowl went well. However, we need to find a way to get everyone involded in the inner circle. It shouldn't be a talk between two. To do so we should wait to see if someone has talked before speaking ourselves if one has talked and the other has not.
I think that it's a neat idea, but it feels left out if you aren't in the inner circle. Trying to blog a good discussion with no one talking and yet still 4 comments a minute toto read/ replyis hard and not much fun. The inner circle seemed so involved, while the outer circle was just trying to keep up with every comment.
I really enjoyed today's fishbowl. But I agree with Austin. I think that everyone in the inner circle needs to be involved with the discussion. More than two people need to be talking as Austin said. As far as being on the outer circle, I think that people on the outer circle should be more involved with the actual discussion and not just the live blog.
I agree with Austin and Hannah. I think that the inner circle did a good job, but not everyone was participating, and although there were a few times when someone would ask for another's opinion, that should probably happen more. Also, I thought the outter circle was fine, but it was hard to keep up with all the comments coming in and listen to the inner circle at the same time.
I have to agree with Robert about the outer circle. I mean, after 150 some comments it gets hard to think about what people are really trying to say. Towards the end, I was starting to get lost in the discussion and stopped paying as much attention to what others had said.
However, I did like the Inner circle. It was much simpler to keep track with and more interesting becuase you are actually talking, not just reading what other people have been thinking.
I really liked how the fishbowl went. My only problem was trying to keep up, especially when it first started out. I was trying to figure out what people were saying in the inner circle while hitting "F5" every five seconds to see what people wrote on blogger! After a while, I got into it and thought it went well. But I do agree with everyone else about the inner/outer circles.
I personally really liked the fishbowl. It was extremely different from what i have done in any other class. I did feelthough that we mostly talked about the same thing especially in teh inner circle. It was also very difficult to keep a discussion going in the outer circle because there were so many comments coming in, that just be how how live blogging is though.
The fish bowl was a great experience. I loved how we had like 2 different things going on at once. We had the inner circle talking about one topic. But in the outer circle we had tons of questions being asked. Everyone in the outer circle got to say what they wanted. To make the fish bowls go better I do agree with Austin. We should let the people who haven't talked as much get to say what they want. Also, it was great how people from the outer circle joined the inner circle.
I agree with Austin, Hannah and Stella because we do need more people talking in the inner circle. Also, I think it is very hard to live blog because everything is lost quickly. Wouldn't a chatroom or realtime type thing work better? I think the discussion points were good though.
I agree with most of what everyone was saying. That the inner circle did great. But not everyone was talking it was mostly between two-three people. We should probably work on getting everyone involved. Through the unit that should be one of our goals. Also, it was really difficult to follow the live blogging. I swear there were at least three conversations going at the same time. Does anyone have a solution to this?
I thought the fish bowl went really well. It was fasinating to be able to use technology to have a debate on two very simialar books and to see everyone's reactionto the comment that people were saying in the inner circle and other people in one the fishbowl, so I agree with everyone about the inner/outter circle. Everytime I would publish a comment, I would look back and 10 or more comments would be published so, at the end like John I had a hard time keeping track of what people were saying.

I thought the fishbol went well, but I feel like it could have been better. The inner circle seemed to be only the people assigned to be there without too much involvement from the outer circle. I also found it much easier to understand the discussion when i was in the inner circle because the blog got very overwhelming towards the end.
To improve our fishbowl seminar i think that maybe we should get started faster and also during the fishbowl we should have like a 2 minute brake periodically to look over the blog comments and so the inner circle people could find an interesting question on the blog.
I really liked the fishbowl. It was really fun to be able to hold a conversation on the internet as well as face to face, I loved that I could also go into the middle circle and debate out loud. Overall this was a great experience and I know that we will get better over time. Great job everyone!!!
The fish bowl was defiently not education as usual. I loved it! It was a great way of being able to be involved in an abnormal but interesting way. It was really interesting to hear people's thoughts both outloud and on the fisch bowl as well.
Over all I would have to say that the fish bowl went well. A lot of people from the outside circle didn't get involved in the inner circle. However not everyone in the inner circle was participating. It was hard to follow the conversation while blogging.
I really wanted to have a conversation about comparing the Uglies Prettys Specials Extras series and HB. It didn't work on blogger and it won't work in the inner circle if nobody has read it. so i made a blog about that myself. just click on my name.
I thought that fishbowling was really fun and it helped me learn. I learn a lot better when I have a conversation with them and get to discuss different ideas. I agree with Robert when he said that being in the outer circle gives the feeling of being left out. But, I think that it is a good idea to have an outer cirlce because it may be easier for others to blog instead of talking. Overall, I think that it is a good way to help us learn.
Seeing as we have only tried this once, I think that we should try it the same way again. Now that we all know how it works, I believe many more of is will join in the middle.
